Science Communications for Change: Spurring action on toxic chemicals

Collaborative for Health and Environment

Widespread concern about toxic chemicals and their health impacts is growing, creating a critical opportunity to counter industry misinformation and strengthen public support for protective policies.

The Collaborative for Health and Environment (CHE) and partners, will translate environmental health science into clear, accessible and actionable communications. Bringing together leading scientists and advocates, the project will train researchers and health professionals to become effective public messengers and connect them with journalists, thought leaders and influencers.

By developing compelling, science-based resources and coordinated messaging strategies, the project will bridge the gap between research and decision-making. The goal is to expand public understanding of chemical health risks, challenge false industry narratives and build broad, cross-political support for policies that better protect families, workers and communities from harmful chemical exposures.
