About us

The Flotil­la Foun­da­tion is a Nether­lands-based char­i­ty, found­ed in March 2017.

The Foun­da­tion aims to pro­mote the con­ser­va­tion, pro­tec­tion and improve­ment of the phys­i­cal and nat­ur­al envi­ron­ment and in par­tic­u­lar­ly the Oceans and the Seas. The Foun­da­tion intends to achieve its goals through the mak­ing of grants or the pro­vi­sion of such oth­er sup­port that will assist in reach­ing its objectives.

By way of example, and without limitation, Flotilla Foundation aims to:
Create & promote protected marine areas
Clean-up marine environment
Prevent marine pollution, particularly from plastic
Integrate conservation factors into livelihood development for coastal & fishing communities
Develop innovative solutions to support protection, preservation and understanding of the marine environment
Research that furthers the public understanding of the marine environment
Educate on issues relating to the marine environment
