Doctors Against Chemical Pollutants

Tegengif

PFAS and other toxic chemicals are persistent in the environment and pose serious risks to human health, yet regulation remains limited in the Netherlands and across the EU.

Tegengif, together with partners like the Dutch Green Health Alliance, KWF Dutch Cancer Society, and Health Care Without Harm Europe, will mobilise the medical sector to push for stronger action. Through research, advocacy and media engagement, including PFAS blood testing studies, the project will provide scientific evidence and amplify credible medical voices to influence policymakers and public opinion. By bringing healthcare professionals, NGOs and researchers together, Tegengif aims to increase public awareness, strengthen medical advocacy and build political support for ambitious measures to phase out PFAS and protect both people’s health and the environment.
