End­ing the Unsus­tain­able Shark Trade

Inter­na­tion­al Fund for Ani­mal Wel­fare (IFAW)

IFAW aims to ensure the list­ing of an addi­tion­al 60 species of requiem sharks into the Con­ven­tion on the Inter­na­tion­al Trade in Endan­gered Species (CITES) — bring­ing the lev­el of inter­na­tion­al shark fin trade reg­u­lat­ed under the Con­ven­tion from 25% to an unprece­dent­ed 90%, help­ing to bring back declin­ing shark pop­u­la­tions from the brink of extinction.
