Ocean Education

Surfers Against Sewage

In their Ocean Education project, Surfers Against Sewage will create, action-oriented education programmes, which make ocean education accessible to all audiences — breaking down barriers to participation and providing the tools and knowledge needed to drive change at home, in school and beyond.

The project aims to help young people form sustainable habits which will continue into adulthood; equip young people with an understanding of how the power of their voice can drive change at government and industry level; and ensure young people can recognise the value in actively engaging in ocean activism. With specific versions of the programme designed for nursery, primary and secondary schools, Surfers Against Sewage will empower pupils to drive change through a series of easy to understand and impactful objectives and a range of supporting resources.
