Ocean Wise

Research shows that microfiber pol­lu­tion can be rad­i­cal­ly reduced by chang­ing tex­tile design and pro­duc­tion. How­ev­er, the size and com­plex­i­ty of the prob­lem are hin­der­ing progress, as is a lack of low-shed­ding, envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly fab­rics that meet the gar­ment industry’s needs. 

Build­ing on Ocean Wise’s pio­neer­ing research through their Microfiber Part­ner­ship, this ground-break­ing project will offer the gar­ment indus­try sci­en­tif­i­cal­ly sound, sus­tain­able and scal­able alter­na­tives to the syn­thet­ic fab­rics that flood our oceans with plas­tic microfibers.
