Education for Antarctic Conservation (phase 2)

Royal Geographical Society (with IBG)

The goal of the Royal Geographical Society is for more young people – in Britain and internationally — to better understand Antarctica’s unique marine, ice and continental environments and how people work to conserve and protect them.

RGS created a series of award-winning, innovative online resources which educate young people about the Weddell Sea and Antarctica. In phase 2 of the project, RGS will extend the digital engagement for young people via additional online activities and social media, create new resources that connect key scientific findings to current climate negotiations, and undertake collaborations in South Africa, the UK and beyond to extend reach and audience.
